Ways We Serve

Free Meal

Every Wednesday

5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

With a significant percentage of the Rochester Community School students on the free or reduced lunch program, the idea of a Grace free meal outreach ministry was conceived.  Held on Wednesdays, this meal is available to anyone desiring a nutritious supper and

fellowship.

We now serve over one hundred fifty people at each meal. Each week we rotate churches that prepare the meal. The churches involved are the First Christian Church, First Baptist Church, Mill Creek Church, Olive Branch, and Grace Church.

The community free meal is served every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Carry-out services are available at 6:30

The meal is located downstairs in the Fellowship Hall at Grace Church.

Coins for Christ

Coins for Christ is a quarterly fund we collect during church services. We have two Jars that we have members or guests drop coins into. These are located in the “Bridge Area” of the Church At the end of the quarter all proceeds will go to the charity that the Mission Team has designated for that quarter.

The Rochester Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been a part of our community since the 1960s. They provide funding for the monthly meetings of Rochester High School and Middle School members of FCA. All students, not just athletes, are welcome to attend and enjoy faith-based fellowship and activities. Scholarships for summer camp opportunities are also available. If you wish to give by check, please indicate Coins for Christ-FCA on the memo line, or you can provide it online.

Prayer Shawls ministry is a ministry we have to give peace, joy and comfort to those who are terminally ill or that have recently had a health related issues. The prayer shawls are prayed over by the pastor and the ladies who make them. Our recipients are overwhelmed by the love and comfort these bring to them!  If you knit or Crochet and would like to make a Shawl, please contact the church office!
